Story of the week: Bringing back Andra 📣
This week, we had the pleasure of meeting Jamie Jacob from Andra Eatery. His mission is to revive a beloved local eatery that has weathered significant challenges over the past year. But Jamie is forward-looking, focusing not on past struggles, but on the potential for a renewed Andra Eatery to breathe new life into the Stefansgade quarter in Nørrebro.
He recently launched a GoFundMe campaign, and the initial response has been incredibly promising. In just a few days, the campaign has already raised 10% of its goal, enabling Jamie to repurchase the restaurant's cherished original furniture. This early success demonstrates the community's strong connection to Andra and its potential for a meaningful comeback.
Every contribution matters, and together, we can help Jamie restore this special neighborhood gathering place.

Join us for our Winemakers Dinner on December 5th at FAMO METRO🍷 On this special occasion, Mario Cordero and Emanuela Currado (Vietti) from Cordero San Giorgio will join us to personally present their wines.
Cordero San Giorgio is a small Italian family winery with roots in the Langhe vineyards of Castiglione Falletto Barolo, Piemonte. Since 2019 they have been producing Cordero San Giorgio wines in Oltrepó Pavese in Lombardy. They have achieved remarkable results by applying their knowledge from working with the soil, cellar, and grapes in Piemonte to a new area.
As an added surprise, the family has recently resumed winemaking in Barolo, and we’re thrilled to be the first to showcase these new wines at this event.
This unique experience, including food and five wine pairings, is offered at 1.095 kr. per person.

Julemarkedet kan besøges både før og efter julefrokosten, så der er rig mulighed for at få en hel dag i julens og økologiens tegn.

Julefrokost of the Future: reimagining the Danish Christmas tradition
The Danish Julefrokost, Christmas lunch, is perhaps the most important and recognizable Danish Christmas tradition. The table is set for (some) communities to gather and share a meal. However, the current menu is made from a food system that currently contributes to 25% of greenhouse gas emissions.
Climate change will alter what our future Christmas tables may look like. How could our current eating habits shape our possibilities for future Christmas lunches? How might we eat the Christmas meal together in the future? Through a speculative menu, we will imagine and reimagine a future table, not of sacrifice in a different climate reality, but one where we explore and expand our concept of what is cultural.
The menu will reimagined Julefrokost “classics” which may fill our tables in the future. Dishes will be eaten in classic Julefrokost-style around a shared table. Expect inventive ingredients, lots of hygge, and of course schnapps!

A personal trip through the wines of Germany
It’s no secret that Germany has a huge wine scene and we’ve probably all tasted one of their Rieslings. This tasting is focusing on the small producers, who care for the life in their vineyard and are challenging the conventional ways.
Alexander recently spent a couple of days visiting winemakers in Germany, and will tell you personal stories, as well as the winemakers’ views on everything from biodynamics to politics.
We will be tasting five different wines this time, and the tasting will be held in English. Buy your tickets through our website and then see you on December 10th at 18:00! But do come a bit earlier so you can order some snacks to go with the wines!
